Frequently asked questions
What are waiting periods?
Initial months during which certain cover (hospitalisation, childbirth, complex tests) isn't available yet. They vary by insurer and can sometimes be waived if you come from another policy.
Co-payment or no co-payment?
Without co-payments you pay more per month but nothing per visit; with co-payments the premium drops and you pay a small fee per use. It depends on how much you use it — we calculate it with you.
Is it tax-deductible for the self-employed?
Yes, self-employed workers in Spain can deduct health premiums for themselves, their spouse and children under 25, within per-person limits. Check with your tax advisor.
